New Year, New goals, same diet, same illness.

The New Year always bring’s the anticipated “changes.” We all set new goals and have new ambitions in the new year. This year I didn’t set my hopes too high. Not after last year anyway!

So my new goals for 2021:
  • Get myself a full time job role in communications and or media type roles.

  • Keep enjoying this blog.

  • Connect with my Instagram account (@mod_u_food ) and continue to improve it.

  • Eventually I will find a routine of writing this blog fortnightly. At the moment I don't have any routine. Thanks Lockdown!

  • Eventually, me and Ben will get our own place.

  • I think our biggest goal is to try our best to minimise stress with each other, therefore minimise Crohns flaring up.

2020, might have been bad but it wasn't all bad. For starters I'm finally getting help for my mental health, people are finally taking me seriously and Ben and I started a very difficult diet, figured it's actually easy in it together, the diet has taught us how to live healthily, now we got to figure out how to make it cheap too. HAHA.

Crohns will never go away, it's always something we will have to live with. So 2021 is about learning to live with the bad. Not that we haven't already, just there is always room for improvement.

Bad Mental Health will not magically go away either, so 2021 will also be about dealing with and improving it.

Finally, The modulife diet has really taught us a lot to be fair. It's not as bad as we thought. Having an Instagram account has been amazing. I am thankful to use our initially bad experience and turn it into something positive. Phase 3 will never truly end, so guess we are stuck with the Modulife diet going into 2021...

I have already helped so many people. I am so proud of myself for sticking at this. It's a pleasure to have that feeling of helping and supporting other people.

Here is 10 things I have appreciated or loved about 2020:

1- I GRADUATED

2- Amsterdam to see Stormzy with Ben.

3- Had some quality time with my siblings, went to Caseys new flat had chinese.

4- Many many trips to local parks with the kids- watching the kids grow and learn has been incredible.

5- Got my hair cut, I need another trim but thats besides the point.

6- Reconnected and became close to so many new people this year.

7- Had some lovely moments with my other girls- . From the random meal out to drinking far too much at vicky park!!

8- Went to London and drank some amazing cocktails.

9- Had some quality time with my Nan And Grandadwho were kind enough to let me finish my degree remotely at theirs!!!

10- Found Out Casey is going to have a baby boy!!!!

Living with an illness, isn't always bad. It is important to remember the good things and to have goals to give you the motivation to stay well. Nothing is bad forever.
